Alexander Paul

Alexander Paul is an Associate Principal in the Berlin office. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Mannheim and joined E.CA Economics in 2020.

Alexander has extensive experience advising clients in merger proceedings (e.g. EG Group/OMV) and has conducted overcharge and damage assessments in private litigation cases following cartel investigations. He has also worked on abuse of dominance and state aid cases. His experience covers a variety of industries including the gasoline, energy, infection control, chemical, pharmaceutical, financial, automotive and transport sectors.

Prior to joining E.CA he worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. His research centred on applied econometric work in the economics of human development and health economics and has been published in leading journals.
