Thore Petersen

Thore Petersen is a Senior Associate at the Berlin office. He joined E.CA Economics – a BRG company in August 2026.

Thore holds a PhD in Economics from the Institute for International Economic Studies at Stockholm University. His thesis describes the electrification potential of the manufacturing sector in Germany. He applies recent empirical methods to a large administrative dataset and combines the results with dynamic structural models. During his PhD, he taught courses in Econometrics and Macroeconomics.

Prior to joining the company, Thore interned at the Bundesbank. He holds an MSc in Quantitative Economics and a BSc in Economics, both from Kiel University.
