Astrid Jung
Senior Consultant
Dr Astrid Jung is a competition economist with more than 20 years of experience advising clients on complex competition matters. Astrid has extensive experience in litigation and advisory matters across Europe, Australia, and Asia. Her case work includes private litigation involving cartels and information exchange, abuse of dominance, mergers, and infrastructure access. She has testified before the Australian Competition Tribunal.
Prior to joining E.CA Economics in 2008, Astrid was a Principal Economic Adviser at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and an Associate Principal at CRA International in Sydney.
Astrid holds a PhD in Economics from Humboldt University Berlin, specialising in empirical industrial organization. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, including Telecommunications Policy and the Journal of Industry, Competition and Trade.
