Principal

Requirements

  • A PhD or an equivalent degree in a relevant field of microeconomics (usually required)
  • At least 6 years’ working experience in the field of competition policy or related topics
  • Proven ability to manage complex research/consulting projects
  • Potential to extend E.CA’s existing customer database
  • Strong empirical/econometric background a plus
  • Perfect command of English; at least B1 level of German

As a principal you will steer and supervise the project work. In this role you will bring cutting-edge research to a case and provide a novel yet robust and balanced view of the matter. Condensing the details of the facts to their essentials is part of the exciting challenges which lie ahead.

As a principal you will also represent E.CA to the broader competition policy community, shaping E.CA’s image as a conceptual leader and trusted consultancy. Research assistance and internship positions

Requirements

  • Student of economics (microeconomics and/or econometrics) – postgraduate studies
  • Perfect command of English; at least B1 level of German
  • Research Assistant: part-time while completing your studies
  • Internship: full-time, minimum duration 3 months

As a research assistant or as an intern you will be in charge of literature research, data gathering and processing alongside taking care of organisational work on an hourly basis. You will have the chance to apply your acquired knowledge and gain insight into the work of a professional economic consulting team.

Team assistant

Berlin

E.CA Economics is looking for a highly motivated, internationally oriented and pro-active Team Assistant for their Berlin office in a full-time position, working at the intersection of an academic institution and private practice. Starting date will be 1 September 2018 with a one-year contract.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Administrative support and office management
  • Correspondence in English and German
  • Travel and time management
  • Preparatory bookkeeping (processing invoices)
  • Coordination with Brussels office
  • Support on various marketing topics

Requirements

  • Fluent English and German writing and speaking skills; native English/German and/or conversational French are a plus
  • Profound computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Internet)
  • Some administrative work experience
  • Approved self-organisational and time management skills, ability to prioritise
  • Attention to detail, willingness to take up responsibilities and to work in a highly dynamic, international team
